"ALL" Military Retirees & Veterans to Get Tested

The focus for HCVets "TEST THE REST" campaign is in response to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) strategy plan devised to prevent the spread of Hepatitis C (HCV).  Not one word is mentioned about the high risk for "ALL MILITARY Retirees & Veterans face, despite testimony form Gary A. Roselle, M. D., Program Director for Infectious Diseases, VHA, Department of Veterans Affairs, who states:

"One in 10 US Veterans are infected with HCV". [1]

Vietnam era Veterans represent 1 in 5 living Veterans in the United States. Testimony substantiates, 62.7% of all Vietnam Veterans have the virus.

Compound the fact, Dr. Harold Margolis, head of the CDC's Viral Hepatitis program, prior to the merge into STD/HIV/Lifestyle, cited the shift away from science based programs as some of the reasons for leaving. He is one of several high-profile scientists who has left CDC since 2004.

We are forsaking not only lives, but also our future generations if we allow junk science to consume Hepatitis C. The CDC is turning on its own self, [2] with the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and Red Cross failure, after failure, when it comes to blood management. [3]

Each of us must stand up now to stop government's insane plan to manage Hepatitis C. The CDC's Public Health and Veterans Affairs (VA) are NOT notifying the MILLIONS of Military Veterans that do not attend VA clinics, there is a "1 in 10 chance",  they have Hepatitis C.  We can change that!

Wal-Mart or similar office suppliers will have a bumper sticker kit  for home printing.

Please print and distribute everywhere! Most VA hospitals/clinics have vans/carts/buses for transporting Veterans and usually furnished by the Disabled American Veterans orginaztion. Ask permission first.

We can save many lives. Remember, 80% of the people with Hep C don't know they have it, and most are Veterans or have a military background.

Thanks!
