NOD. I am a 60 year old veteran with honorable discharge. I served 1967-1970 Army. I put in a claim for injuries received while in the army. I also suffer from hepatitis c and use the va for medical. I was denied my claim. The DAV service rep said i have no recourse except pension but he had no info about it. I only served 3 years, how can i get a pension? I'm not retired from the Army. As is the case with many vets i am not working due to the economy. I operated heavy equipment for years but for my friend and was paid cash. My friend recently passed away so i don't even get part time work. I have no proven income in over 20 years. Social Security ran me around the block like they owned me and i have not returned. I realize pension (if i am eligible) pays very little but i don't need much to survive. I can move back in with my wife who has no income but has a roof. Cut to the chase, am i eligible for a pension? If so how do i go about getting it? How much does it pay? I see homeless on the horizon if nothing happens soon. It looks like i will have plenty of veteran company if i go homeless. Any help appreciated. Thanks
