Mike- Sent info to Tricia500. This is her specialty. She'll get you hooked up to what you need. One word to the wise. If you go before a traveling board VLJ ,write your script ahead of time. Stick with the facts. Don't be a doctor. Don't ever say: "My doctor said I have...or told me...".As this is an appeal of a denial @ the RO level, that means they(VA), in essence, already have done some evaluation of you and their VA examiner has provided a nexus that says, unlikely, less likely, less likely than more likely , etc. You are going to have to see their nexus and raise them one or else get a most likely(80%). Who is your regular gastrodoc or hepatologist? If they are private docs., this should be a one week turnaround if you have all your VA/military recs. available for them to look at. Remember, your doc.'s nexus must state that he has considered all the evidence, incuding milrecs. & SMRs. VA's doc. will have stated that somewhere already or else you wouldn't be in the driver's seat on this poopwagon . They will not assemble any more evidence against you at this stage, unless they really have a hard one for you. Sorry about the S3. Welcome to the Club. There's other guys on this site that are shorter (S4) than us. That's why its important to get you hooked up for free meds. and a new liver courtesy of your Uncle. On the off chance You don't have a copy of your records, you may ask the VLJ for a copy and ask for a delay of X months to submit this info. It may delay the decision, but it beats having to start a MFR and going to the back of the BVA line. Or worse, standing in line @ the CAVC, which will still end up back @ the BVA if you win up there.
